Purchasing Expeditor

Description:
Ensures prompt delivery of materials and services. Performs expediting assignments required to follow up the procurement, movement and processing of materials, supplies and equipment. Communicate with vendors on the status of l orders and eliminating difficulties and delays.
Requirements:

Duties include:

  • Contact vendors, place orders, verify supplies, manage supply requisition and communicate with suppliers to determine expected delivery dates and inform Managers of potential delays.
  • Maintains records of goods that have been ordered and corresponding shipping dates.
  • Confirm shipping dates with vendors.
  • Monitors shipping notices to avoid potential problems with deliveries.
  • Notifies buyers and management of any issues that may impact delivery schedules.
  • Maintains business relationships with suppliers to ensure their assistance if an unexpected event requires expedited shipping of an order.

    Requirements include:

  • Two years’ related experience highly preferred
  • Requires excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills to interact with co-workers and vendors, in a positive and helpful manner; able to communicate both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently, establish priorities and accomplish objectives with minimal supervision.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to be a team player.
  • Able to multi-task.
  • Must pass a drug screen and background check.
  • Additional Information:

    Salary Range: The salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary for this position which is $20.00/hr. - $24.00/hr.-DOE.
