Description:
Drive and deliver product to customers in a safe, productive, efficient, accurate and timely manner-following established policies and procedures. Provide counter/store service to customers when needed.
Requirements:

Duties Include:

  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicle. Verify load has accurate cylinders and hard goods. Check that all cylinders have proper shipping labels.
  • Fill out truck manifest prior to leaving store.
  • Make sure all cylinder transactions on invoices are correct and get signatures on all invoices.
  • Fill out daily trip records including log book and duty sheets.
  • Inform supervisor of all moving violations (personal and work-related). Follow all requirements on reporting accidents.
  • Report any repairs on vehicles as needed to supervisor.
  • Other duties assigned.

    Requirements include:

  • At least 1 year delivery experience.
  • Minimum 1 year previous experience in route sales plus 1 year customer service background preferred.
  • Understanding of welding terminology and equipment is preferred.
  • Class “B” Commercial Drivers’ License with Haz-Mat endorsement with good driving record.
  • A working knowledge of safety principles and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to respond to clients and customers.
  • Ability to work independently, establish priorities and accomplish objectives with minimal supervision.
  • Must pass drug screen, physical and background check.
